Improv Classes for Kids & Teens

Curious Comedy Theater in Portland offers improvisation classes for kids and teens! Here’s a partial list of classes:

LEVEL 1 - INTRO TO IMPROVISATION

FOR KIDS 8-11 YEARS OLD
Thursdays, 4:00pm - 5:30pm, October 16th - December 11th
Show Saturday December 12th
Learn the basics of improv - teamwork, collaboration, yes and, play, fun, listening, heightening, character building and more through shortform games and longform formats. Students will be encouraged to keep comedy journals for advanced improv and sketch writing classes.

LEVEL 1 - INTRO TO STAND UP COMEDY

FOR KIDS 10-17 YEARS OLD
Mondays, 4:30pm-6:30pm, October 20th - December 15th
Shows on Wednesdays, November 5th & December 3rd
Learn the basics of stand up comedy. Discover your voice and style in a supportive and encouraging environment. Test material in class and in front of an audience. By the end of class, you will have developed several minutes of your very own stand up set!
